Job Description
Our client, a leading commercial bank in Kenya, is seeking to hire a Divisional Head, Retail Banking. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Divisional Head shall provide overall direction and supervision of the Bank's Retail Banking Division, formulating and reviewing strategies for the Retail Business for the short, medium and long term in line with the Bank's group plan.
He/she will leverage their strategic orientation, product expertise, and leadership skills to determine and establish targets for Retail Banking bank-wide by products, regions and branches, manage and maintain existing customer relationships and develop new ones in conjunction with the Commercial Banking and Institutional Banking Division, and define and implement Retail Banking's marketing and sales strategies. Job Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Direction
- Formulate and review strategies for Retail Banking Business for the short, medium and long term in line with the Bank's group plan.
- Determine, establish and agree the targets for Retail Banking bank-wide by products, regions and branches.
- Formulation and implementation of Retail Banking division's strategy.
Marketing, Sales and Product Development
- Definition of marketing and sales strategies of Retail Banking.
- Development of Retail Banking Products and Services.
Customer Relationship Management
- Management and maintenance of existing customer relationships and development of new customer relationships in conjunction with Commercial Banking and Institutional Banking Division.
- Develop a customer management framework including customer insight-driven marketing.
Business Planning and Team Oversight
- Determine, establish, approve and supervise the business plans, scope and activity size (including locations) of Product Heads and their teams to ensure that appropriate strategies are undertaken to achieve targets set for the Division.
Cross-Divisional Coordination
- Coordinate the group's activities for efficient and effective collaboration and smooth workflow with other Divisions, Commercial Banking and Institutional Banking.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
- Monitor and report on bank-wide performance of all Retail product offerings.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications
- A good first degree in any discipline from a recognized institution.

Head of Legal and Company Secretary
Job Description
Our client, a leading commercial bank, is seeking to hire a Head of Legal & Company Secretary. Reporting to the Managing Director, they provide legal counsel and oversight to the Bank and its subsidiaries across contracts, litigation and dispute resolution, credit and employment matters, and the company secretarial function.
The Head of Legal & Company Secretary will oversee regulatory compliance and governance, advising the Board and senior management on inspections, rule changes, and investigations while developing the frameworks and tracking mechanisms needed to manage regulatory and reputational risk across the Bank. The role carries responsibility for coordinating Board meetings, ensuring timely reporting on Board deliverables, and driving the Bank toward a top-tier governance rating, alongside leading a team of Legal Officers.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced legal and governance professional, with a minimum of 12 years' post-qualification experience in legal roles within Financial Services ; at least 8 within Banking and 5 at senior management level, to shape the legal and governance agenda of a major banking institution.
Job Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance Oversight
- Oversee and ensure the effectiveness of the Bank's regulatory compliance function.
- Provide compliance management information to the Board and senior management.
- Provide compliance advice and regulatory guidance to senior management and heads of department in relation to inspections, interpretation of rules, rule changes, and investigations.
- Develop and implement a regulatory framework and tracking mechanism for identifying regulatory risks in a timely manner.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of relevant Bank rulebooks and manuals.
Reputational Risk Management
- Develop policies, processes, and procedures for managing reputational risks within the Bank.

- Ensure prompt and appropriate corrective measures are taken in the event of any adverse reputational risk.

Company Secretarial and Board Governance

Strategic Leadership and Business Growth
- Offer strategic leadership and direction of the Bank's Amanah business in line with the Bank's overall strategic intentions and business plans.

Job Description
Our client, a commercial bank licensed by the Central Bank of Kenya, seeks to hire a seasoned Relationship Manager Corporate Banking. The purpose of the role is to build and manage rapport with corporate clients so as to ensure optimum customer acquisition, retention and income generation from sales of all appropriate Assets, Liability, Trade finance and Cash management products of the Bank.

Job Responsibilities
- Corporate balance sheet growth on assets, liabilities and off-balance sheet exposures.
- Increase in level of products and services consumed by corporates and spear heading increase in bank relationship across the corporate supply chain through other business departments of the bank.
- Grow trade finance and regional business with focus on importers/exporters and development of synergies with BOA Group entities internationally
- Management of the corporate credit portfolio quality and maintaining it within risk thresholds of the Bank.
